heavy storms in Normandy (again)

This time our electricity cables are fine, but I saw in the night (when I was feeding the orphan lambs), that the streetlamps in Notre Dame de E. were off. It was too loud to sleep, but there seem to be no bigger damages on the property.

When I was reading the news today I saw on Welt Online that the airports in Paris had been closed because of the storm. The wind speed was up to 140km/h (87 miles per hour), that’s nearly a hurricane. EDF (the french electricity supplier) reported, that there have been 600.000 households without electricity this morning.
