Bach, impetuous Bernese sunshine

Bach is a Bernese Mountaindog. He was born in autumn 2007 and the bosses bought him for 500 Euros because it was a steal. He has small ears and a lot of toes on his feet.

He adopted me as mother when I fetched him in December 2007. He only cried when I wasn’t in sight. After some weeks that got better.

He is impetuous, overthrows people for greeting (and then sits on them as a sign of love); He likes everyone. He lets Rudi and shaun ride on him, licks Dariusz head, while Dariusz kneads Bach’s fur for milk. Bach was the best friend of Frolimops, the Shih-Tzu-girl of the bosses.

It’s likely that he thinks he is small. He can bark terrifyingly, but is a coward. He likes to cuddle and to kiss, but it’s better to avoid his kisses if lambs are near, because eating is one of his favourite activities and that includes lamb droppings.

Sometimes we call him “Beau”, because he reminds us so much of the Bernese Mountaindog that died in 2004. But beau was an elegant dog, maybe Bach will be less clumsy when he gets older.

Bach loves to chew shoes and socks. He shows only 2 main facial expression, happy or worried. He rarely looks worried though, it’s his facial expression when caught after having chewed a shoe.

  1. He is beautiful! Our largest dog also thinks that he is still small and likes to collapse on my lap every evening—and by that I mean he stretches out on top of me and I almost suffocate.🙂

  2. Yeah, they are forever so tiny and need their mother (us).

  3. True! There’s nothing quite like a (pet) mama’s love!
