Donkeys in love

Last Sunday me and the dogs made a very long walk. The was very bright. Too bright for my camera, I should try a beach-setting next time. The dogs didn’t want me to take photos. They wanted to search for rabbits in the grass.

We met several people and animals, amoung them two donkeys. The male donkey saw us and started to holler. When I finally started to take a video, he had nearly finished. Poor donkeys in love can’t do what they would like to do. Evil fence.

The lambs on the hill in Villeret are meanwhile quiet and graze peacefully around the small pond. In the meantime my neighbour, who looks like Asterix with 50, told me, that the lambs belong to poor farmers. After the Second World War big farms destroyed the livelihood of the small farms. This particular farmer had to sell most of the buildings he owned and a lot of land. His wife had to work in a factory. The Asterix-neighbour lives in one of those buildings.

A lot of small sheep. No idea how this race is called for real. We call it tête noire, but it might be Suffolk sheep. Own photo, licence: Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported/ CC by SA

Here on the property the chestnut trees and the whitethorn trees/bushes are in bloom. When we have strong wind, the leaves of the chestnut blossoms fall and swirl around like snow.
